Update Eternal Realms updated to Minecraft 1.17.1 - Caves & Cliffs: Part 1!

  • With the update to Minecraft 1.20.1 rolled out, we will need to reset the Wastelands. Unless anything unforseene happens, we will be resetting the Wastelands on May 4th, 2024.
    A backup date of May 11th, 2024 will be used if more time is needed for players to remove their items from the Wastelands. Please be sure to recover/remove all items and blocks that you don't want to loose from the Wastelands before this date, as anything left will be deleted upon reset.

We're glad to announce that Eternal Realms has been updated to Minecraft 1.17.1!

Along with the update to Minecraft 1.17.1, there have been a handful of bug fixes as well as some new features added:
  • Added support for chat replacements in Group purposes and Custom Tags
  • Fixed Spawn Over-sizing in the +X/+Z directions
  • Fixed Group buffs not properly applying when they should have
    • There was a slight logic error when checking for the nearby player count
  • Economy-related messages have been tweaked slightly
  • The time remaining on a ban will now show for temporary bans, instead of for permanent bans (inverted logic)
  • Players can pick up Budding Amethyst in the Wastelands, or from player-placed blocks in the Wilderness
    • You need to have a Silk Touch pickaxe for this to work
  • Added smelting recipes for smelting raw mineral blocks into metal blocks in a Blast Furnace
Tip: Use a Silk Touch pickaxe when mining Deepslate Emerald Ore. When 1.18 releases, and we ultimately update, they will no longer generate!
